The world's first large-scale commercial e-methanol facility, the Kassø e-methanol facility, has been officially inaugurated and is ready to deliver e-methanol to key partners.

Billund, Denmark, 24 April 2025: We are committed to minimising the impact of our operations on the environment. Our focus is on decoupling our growth from our environmental footprint, with specific targets set for our carbon emissions, energy use, water consumption, and waste generation.

The LEGO Group today celebrated the grand opening of LEGO Manufacturing Vietnam in Binh Duong province, southern Vietnam. LEGO Manufacturing Vietnam is the company’s sixth factory worldwide and second in Asia. Built to support long-term growth in the region and bring more LEGO® play experiences to children around the world, it is also the LEGO Group’s most environmentally sustainable factory to date.

The LEGO Group announced the introduction of a new, more sustainable material for selected LEGO tires, made from recycled fishing nets, ropes, and engine oil. The material is created by repurposing discarded ropes and nets from ocean vessels which is then combined with recycled engine oil to reduce reliance of virgin fossil fuel-based ingredients.

The LEGO Group announced a DKK 19 million commitment towards four carbon removal projects in partnership with Climate Impact Partners and ClimeFi. The initiatives will support biochar, enhanced rock weathering and reforestation and will deliver carbon removal credits between 2024 and 2026.

We are focused on better understanding, and then reducing, our total greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions throughout our value chain.

To commemorate the 5th anniversary of LEGO® Replay, a circularity program that enables consumers to donate used LEGO bricks for cleaning and repackaging for reuse, the LEGO Group held celebratory events in Boston, Massachusetts, and Richmond, Virginia, in partnership with local Boys & Girls Clubs.

The LEGO factory in Kladno has completed yet another phase in the expansion of its rooftop solar park, supporting the company’s commitment to increase capacity and production of renewable energy at its sites.
